When researching an insurance company there are a few things to look for.
First, the financial strength of a company. How much cash does the company hold in reserves.
What is its rating?
How well does the company pay claims and how fast do they send claims out. When you get hurt and you file a claim you need your money now. Not 2 or 3 weeks from now. Most claims should be processed in under 7 days.
How long has the company been around? You want a company with a solid reputation.
How are claims serviced? You want to be able to talk to a live person. Some companies have agents locally that help in the claims process while others use brokers who cant be bothered with assisting all their clients. You want a company that has people who will treat their clients honestly and with that personal touch. Some one who will assist with the claim process from the beginning to the end to insure the claim gets paid when you or your employee’s needed it the most.
